ABOUT
Sherif Nessim is a technology professional with 23+ years of experience in providing solutions and products to enterprises, mobile carriers, and service providers (B2B) as well as consumers services (B2C) in the Egypt & MENA region.
He started his career as an electrical communications engineer working in Enterprise business solutions, doing presales/sales, design and systems engineering for telephony solutions, PBX, call center, computer telephony integrations, and IVR systems, worked on systems from Lucent, which then became Avaya.
Sherif then joined ArpuPlus, a very dynamic, new, young, and challenging opportunity. ArpuPlus is a Mobile value-added services company offering mobile solutions in different domains (mobile entertainment, music, video, mobile payments, SMS/A2P messaging, voice solutions, etc.)
He started with ArpuPlus in 2005 till 2020, along with the team there, we built the company, all products that were launched in the Middle East region with more than 45+ mobile carriers/operators, played different roles, and was the main member of the management team setting strategies, doing partnerships and rolling out new products in different mobile VAS areas: content, services & payments. ArpuPlus is now one of the biggest Mobile services providers in the Middle East & North Africa
In June 2020, Sherif moved from Egypt to the USA based out of New York/New Jersey. He founded Jedar Capital, an emerging VC firm focusing on early stage startups from Seed to Series A. He also help companies in the USA and Europe looking to expand into Egypt, Middle East & Africa, and vice versa.
Sherif has always loved technology. He also has a passion for finance & venture capital investment being involved in many businesses setup, valuations and financial modeling throughout his career.
