Mark is an international finance and technology professional with experience across five countries and three continents, including four years in China. He’s a Co-founder and General Partner at Weave VC, a venture capital firm focused on Western Canada’s emerging innovation ecosystem. Weave VC partners with mission driven founders at the earliest stages, leading pre-seed and early seed stage rounds. Since launch in Q3 2022, Weave has partnered with 8 companies; Levr (Sprout VC), Share (Garage/Panache), Wyvern (YC, Uncork), Dyne (Sprout VC/Inverted), Hometeam Live (Relay/Inverted), RetreatsAndVenues (Ryan Holmes/LOI), ResVR (Inverted), and Wavy (Garage/Laconia). Mark also serves as a Director at Red Thread Ventures, an angel syndicate and advisory firm he co-founded. At Red Thread, Mark invested in 21 companies on behalf of 50 mission aligned angel investors and family offices.
